Looks like the stability numbers I ran before were on the mark with my guess at the bullet length. Here is the 70gr so we can see the dramatic difference in stability. I assumed there is a 0 missing in the length you posted and it should have been 1.035. Let me know if that is not correct. I'm going to shoot my 62gr at 200 yard tomorrow and see how they do.

Sg = 1.05

Sg shouldn't be less than 1.4. If Sg is greater than about 2.0, you may gain some accuracy by going to a slower twist barrel.

You are correct I edited my post it is 1.035 for the 70 grain. The 55s look good I can't wait to test some loads.

Got to the range today and shot the 62gr TSXs. At 100 yards, I had a 1.5 inch group (4-shot). 3 of the bullets were within 0.75 inches then one and inch and a half low. Took the target out to 250 yards. I had 4 shots withing 1.75 inchs than a lone one 3.5 inches low. If I had only one low flier out the the 9 shots, I call it me. But two makes me think I need to work the load some more. Based on the bullet drop at 250 yards of 9 inches, I derived the muzzle velocity to be 2600 fps. That is a significant loss of velocity in the 16inch barrel compared to a 24-inch barrel. I like my hunting bullets going a bit faster than that. Hope you have good results with the 55gr TSX are good.
