Just aquired from a friend.

Combat hammer, beaver tail, combat trigger, oversized safety, flared port, dehorned and shot peened, matte blue, slim-tech grips, Novac sights with Trijicon inserts, removeable light rail, arched housing, etc. etc. etc.

The mod's are subtle and are for functionality only.

Me likey. Razz

Pardon the lint, again. Embarassed I really need to vacum that blanket. Laughing

Nice!!! You'll enjoy shooting that one. Personaly, I'd remove the light rail. But that's just me.

Yup- it's removeable. Very Happy

And goes right back on for black-out stuff. Razz

The gent I got it from does all his guns this way, sans the rail. They shoot very well w/o any issues.

With all them mods you need to wrap that one up an send it to me for some very serious extensive testing. I have your well being in mind, we want to make sure every thing is on the up and up.

By the way send ammo to I'm down to about 500 rounds, not near enough to test it for you. ROFL ROFL Nananana

I'm so glad it doesn't have a extended slide lock, those seem to get in the way more then they get used. Neat gun.

Thank you, FN. I agree, I don't use the lever to release the slide. I cup it when racking, gives me more options from 'present'. Feeds that first round better too when the slide goes all the way back.

I popped the cherry on it last night and ran some drills. I aint a stranger to semi-auto pistols but this is my first Colt owned outright. (long story)

100 rds, no failures, range reloads too.
Trigger reset is spot on and it DT's like right now. I like the Gov model too as it recoils less than the carry models.

My local range agent asked when I was 'moving up' to one of the Kimber, Brown's etc. the got in the case? I just smiled and rubbed the slide on mine.
When those run as good as this Colt out of the box for a third their asking price, well talk. (not!) Some of those 2-3000.00 dollar guns? I have shot them and, they are seriously nice firearms. I'm just not that rich and could never spend that much on a firearm.

I'm a Pork-n-Beans shooter in a Filet Mignon world. Embarassed

My little Colt looked a tad out of place on top of the Gucci case with all those nice Uber-customs in there.
But what matters most at the end of the day is the ragged holes in the pipe plates @ 10 and 15y. Very Happy She's get's it on at 1/4th the price.
It's a fine lil' shooter and it has a bunch of sentimental value to me as well.

She'll gitter done just fine.

Cool

Nuttin' to hash, really.

I won't fault anyone's choice. HG's are very personal.

With my budget I need to think practical and functional vs. 'Price and Nice'.

Did I mention my new 20ga was a wopping 200$? Oh wait, I think I did on another thread. Wink
