Just had to share this with everyone !!!

I went and seen a friend today that I haven’t seen for a while. In the market for a used .22 rimfire and him working part time in a gun shop, we met there. After talking a while he pulls out 5 new Taurus Judges from under the counter to price and display. He’s pulling one out of the box and starts to laugh so hard he’s got tears in his eyes. So of course I ask what’s so funny ? He picks up the 410 pistol and starts to tell me about a customer that has been in several times looking at these. He wants it for home defense. This guy has been in a dozen times and wants one in the worst of ways. Finally he asks what is keeping him from buying one. The customer said he’s worried about “collateral damage”. My friend stood back and asked collateral damage in your house ? The man then said yes !!! We have very expensive wall paper and wood work !!!

I don’t know about any of you out there, but I for one have never given any thought too or was worried for that matter about any damage that might occur to my home while in the process of preserving ones life !!!

I've got to think that that guy really doesn't need a gun... Maybe an air horn...

That guy obviously has his values all wrong. How could anyone think about anything other that stopping a bad guy in your house if it came to that. Holes can be patched but life can't be handed back once it is gone.

Don't worry, the man upstairs will set him straight on his values.He knows how to deal with greed.

Reminds me of the feller that walked into Abercrombie & Fitch, in NYC, and asked for something to protect his collection of Stradivarius etc. violins. The guy at the counter showed him a used Model 12, and told him for no extra charge they could shorten the barrel and make it a "real alley sweeper". The tenderfoot hemmed, and hawed, and then asked if A&F had something a little "more in keeping" with his other possessions--and finally left with a pair of matched Purdeys. A few weeks later, the guy was back. He needed something to protect his violin and classic shotgun collection. He left with the Model 12.
