The thing that worries me the most about these types of bills is the regularity that they come up, and secondarily the strangle hold the liberals have in the House, and Senate (USA folks). Do you really believe that abortion on demand never came up as a bill in any state House and Senate?
I think not, it came up thousands of times and kept getting voted down. Then the Supreme Court got involved and since there were enough liberal Justices on the Court abortion on demand was voted a right.
We in the US have a whole new type of leadership in the House, Senate, and on Capitol Hill, and there are at least two Supreme Court Justices that will most likely resign their positions on the Court during BO’s rein. Do you think he will be replacing them with Constitutionalists’? I don’t think so they will be Constitutional Activists, those that see the Constitution as a living document subject to radical change in keeping with what the loudest people in our society say, and what the liberal media chooses to print.
Further I have pointed out in previous posts that there is a move to enact a new Constitutional Congress. That is where our leaders can make massive changes to the Constitution in keeping with their agenda – who’s pushing for the Constitutional Congress the most liberal leftist around. The problem is they are only shy of getting the Congress by the vote of two states. This is something the liberals have been pushing for, for years and it appears that it may very well happen.
And, you think because of the economic disaster we are having they will be too busy to pay attention to the Rights that you and I desperately want to protect?
I do not think so, it is a perfect time to slip something in under the rug and get it passed before we have a chance to react. Yes, I know there are many organizations out there supporting us, but that does not mean that we cannot go the extra step. Are we each supporting those organizations in the best way? Are we writing our State, and Federal Congressmen, and Senators to express our feelings and beliefs?
I think we can all do more to protect our rights, and there is no better time to do it than now, before we blink our eyes and what we had is gone.
I will never become complacent about this and will write letters till my finger tips are sore, and make calls till my ears hurt. If that doesn’t work then I will take Thomas Jefferson’s, and James Madison’s advice.
