I have the oppurtunity to hunt some private land in the Issaquah area, here in Washington. A gal is having some problems with coyotes consuming her chickens at an alarming rate.
The dumb part of me, that likes to oversimplify everything around me says, that some chicken distress calls would be the ticket. Since I have about 50 hours of calling sounds and sequences on a MP-3 player type gig, I can play em anything from Cottontails to Meat-Loaf.I don't think that Bat Out of Hell would be very effective, but I'll give it a shot someday and report back my results.
I suspect I'll get the, "Try what and see what works." response, but I won't get to many cracksa at this before this gal tells me I'm an incompetent fool and runs me off. That, and I don't think that she likes Meat Loaf either......
So anyhow, any of you guys up in this part of the country have a generic starting sequence that you would use?
Thanks y'all!!
