Yes, the proof of the pudding is on the eating..
Hopefully this guy can show the differences and lead to the better of mankind.
Otherwise, you guys can always take lessons from the experience and vote him out in a few years ...

Well put Eric I agree with ya. I'm not happy with the outcome but he will be our president regardless . We have to keep our positions well voiced.

I say prayers for all of our leaders, even the ones I dislike. I wish President elect Obama all the best and that he governs from the center.
That being said,
I will challenge any anti-constitutional proposals/laws.
I will challenge any anti-American rhetoric.
I will challenge any anti-American appointments.
I will challenge government spending.
We must remember that our fore-fathers faced overwhelming odds we they decided to attack a British ship in the Boston harbor. We may now face the same challenge.

Without too much intended cynicism, I wonder if there were those in Russia that prayed for Stalin, those in China that prayed for Mao or those in Germany that prayed for Hitler? Me? I'm reading that ole Delaration of Independence.
Hope for Obama? That is pure nonsense, but, it took a Jimmy
Carter to give us a Ronald Reagan.
Hang on boys, its gonna be a bumpy ride.

I am a fiscal conservative. I spend my money carefully and I expect the government to do the same.
I am a moral liberal (also known as a government interference conservative). I believe that folks ought to be allowed to do what they want as long as it doesn't intrude on the rights and privilages of others or hurt anyone. I believe that people ougt to take responsibility for their own lives.
I am an "anti-federalist". I believe the central government of America has proven that no body of politicians can be trusted to uphold the rights of the governed over their own selfish interests. I also believe that this extends to the state level as well.
I believe that the constitution is as valid today as it was when it was first written, and that it should be enforced and protected.

I did'nt vote for bama, but he won, so now he is the president-elect. I will pray for his guidance and hope for reasoned decessions, however, I believe that alot of people didn't vote because of the media saying that bama had won even befor the election.
for those that didn't vote I want to say, IF YOU DIDNT VOTE YA CAN'T B#!*H.

Paul,
Seems as though we share many of the same beliefs....and I never knew I was a "government interference conservative".
Thanks for defining it for me....

I'm a traditionalist, and I too, agree with Paul on a lot of things.
I also disagree with him on some issues also, but, when all is said and done, we both are in the same camp.

I was once told that I couldn't be both....
but then the guy that said that was wrong about a few other things too.

Paul,
I believe that all similar thinking folks like us, in the years to come, have to start covering each other's backs, and forget about any differences that we might have.

Eric,
Covering each other's backs may become more than a metaphore in the not too distant future. I think we are getting closer to a new civil uphieval that may result in more than new people in office.
That is why I have to try to let folks know that we have other choices. If enough of us make that third choice we will elect folks who will do what it takes to prevent what might otherwise come.
No matter how it goes there is going to be change in the future.....
