Last night there is a typhoon here in ShenZHen China.
Shops are closed at 3pm in anticipation of the oncoming storm.
Rain starts at about 2pm and wind are blowing well.. to Australian standard.. our usual windy days..

By 8pm, there are almost no wind or rain left and apparently the typhoon has passed.. and there is hardly a blow and the ground is hardly wet.

Oh well.. another day wasted..

Sorry, I am late in the response. We are in good shape here. The center of the storm broke apart and then flowed into Alabama. I think we got about 1 inch of rain at the house, that is it. But the farm, about 2.5 miles from the AL border got about a foot of water in the ponds. I was up on Monday, it was way to wet and soggy to do anything, then went back yesterday to start discing the fence rows for planting before the fence posts and fence are put in. I am going to plant Pensacola Bahia and Brown Top Millet mixed 50/50 for ground stabalization in the fence rows if I can get past the storms and rain, gezz, this is supposed to be the dry season up country.

My Dwarf Sunflower seed was shipped yesterday so I will plant the now finished 200 yard rifle range border and lower pond border with sunflowers that grow 2 ft tall. The turkey and quail love the short sunflowers. The rest of the range and pond areas will get Pearl and Brown Top Millet with Sorgum mixed. Critter food for the winter months ahead.

Its good that the storm broke up before it had a chance to do a number on ya butt mate. Storms can be terribly unforgiving.

If I didn't know better Swamps, I'd say that you are planting crops to attract a deer or two mate. Good luck with your crops mate.
