Have a question about Gun insurance, Seems as though my insurance company will not insure my gun collection,Because I own an AK?
Do any of youall have a good place to insure Guns? I keep all of them secure in a gun safe and unloaded, But I was surprised that I cannot get them covered with Homeowners.......
Kind of ticks me off that I/we are being singled out,cause we use and enjoy shootin

I insure with State Farm. Everything I own. Even my guns. I pay a bit extra, but that amounts to about $50.00 a year for a $20,000 policy or rider...They never ask me for a list of the guns. Just a stated total value of what I own...

On aside, if my homeowners didn't cover all my firearms, I'd be looking for new homeowners...

Agree. I figure what NRA won't cover my homeowners will. State Farm has never failed to cover my losses so far though they have been small. Ive been with the NRA for 25 -30 years and with State Farm 20 -25 years...As much as I have paid into my homeowners insurance they better be good to me...15 years ago someone helped themselves to my tools (my livelyhood) and State Farm paid my $8,000 to replace them without question...I gave them an inventory of the stolen tools and a copy of the police report and they gave me a check...

I would hope they would do the same for any lost or stolen firearms...
