Talk about taking a discussion waaay outta context.

No where did I say copper could NOT be removed....in fact I stated "mechanical removal such as vigorous brushing"...din't I?

We're talking about copying the Foul Out System...not military bore cleaner.

Right now I clean my non moly'd and my non Ultra Bore Coted bores much like your Troopers do.....elbow grease.

Translation, with regards to the Foul Out System.....

It's my Dad's opinion the Foul Out is NOT removing the mechanically applied metallic copper deposits, but RATHER it is removing the copper oxides.

Put another way........

The "copper" that's by the masses thought to be removed are the copper oxides, in his opinion, which are EASIER to remove and given that the "SOLUTION" of Copper Acetate is WEAK, copper oxide would be the only thing REMOVED by the Foul Out System.........

Therefore, to remove the copper metallics from the bore WITH an electro plating method (Foul Out System), IT WOULD REQUIRE THE USE OF AN ACID TOO STRONG FOR THE GUN METAL TO TAKE.....and therefore not practical nor safe to do so.

No sane person would want to do that.....savvy?
