Or good horse pasture wasted...
Loved my dad, but he tried to cram golf and poetry down our throats...

Dear Vince;
Honestly, I wasn't fishing for a read. I just wanted opinion on the incident. As Bushmaster says, poetry is not for everyone. I try not to get carried away with it here. There are thousands of sites for it.... but since, (being the amiable gent you are)... here's the link... DON'T CLICK IT Bushmaster!

I have to agree mate...good pasture going to waste.
My parents never tried to make us do anything academic....neither of them are well educated. I just enjoy a bit of poetry every now and again. I remember when I was growing up there were always bawdy ballads in print and of course there was always bawdy poetic jokes around. Don't really remember them, but there were some real crackers.
Cheers, Vince

4rum, the honorable thing would have been for them to give you a mention. Copyright, in our country, belongs immediately to the author upon creation of the work. If by posting, you've surrendered copyright, which they're supposed to tell you, fine. Most websites are considered public domain, once something's posted everyone has access, hence all the music download issues etc that have come up over the years, but again...the honorable thing is always to give the author his due, like when a college student quotes someone for a paper or dissertation. Avoids plagarism accusations etc. I have to say your dedication to poetry is quite admirable. I just make up stuff and try to make it rhyme. Anyone remember Robert Service? I was raised on his stuff.
