I'm sure many, if not all of us, have little snippets of information or advice that has been passed onto us by someone more experienced in life.....either our Dad, mentor or other respected personage.

How about we post some of these snippets so that we might all benefit from their profound message.

I'll start the ball rolling with the following very philosophical and deep message:

A man that tries to carry a cat home by its tail will learn a lesson that can be learned in no other way.

wtf Confused Shocked Very Happy Laughing

This bit of advice can be applied to many situations when you think about it.

Cheers, Vince

Lets never forget the all time greatest pessmist......MURPHY. His law states:

Anything that can go wrong will......and at the worst possible time.

This is one that we need always keep in mind in our chosen sport, especially when handloading cartridges.

Some pearls of wisdom from my grandmother.

We were allowed to go out in the hills, on foot or horseback, with one of the .22 rifles. IF we were alone. If one of my cousins was around, we were not allowed anywhere near the guns.

As my gandma always said: " 1 boy has a brain, 2 boys have half a brain, and 3 or more boys have no brain at all"

When asked why she kept a loaded gun in the house, she would reply " You never know when you might need to kill a snake, either the no-legged or the two-legged kind"

From my dad.

"The customer IS NOT always right, but they ARE always the customer"

"You can have as many Atta-boys as you want, but one Aw-sh*t wipes them all out"

"I swear kid, you could screw up an anvil with a rubber mallet"

"That guy is more screwed up than a football bat"

"That guy is all hat and no cattle"

"That guy is all gurgle and no guts"

"The Bible says that it rained for 40 days and 40 nights, that was a good year around here, we got 3 inches"

Was given a small but massive piece of advice the other day. There are many in the world that would benefit from it:

As a rolling stone gathers no moss, as a closed mouth gathers no feet.

This saying is about as true as any I've ever heard. Very Happy Cool Very Happy Very Happy

Cheers, Vince
