Looking to load up some 75 gr. Hornady V-max's in 25-06. Wondering if anyone out there has loaded any using either H-4831 or H-4350 and how did they perform. Thanks- Have a Nice Easter

Moose,
Sorry to say I have no experience with any of those components. I use Speer 100 grain Stitzer BT infront of 56 Grains of IMR 4831. 3230 FT per Second. I use it for everything from prairie Dogs to Mule Deer. Set for a 300 Yard zero, all I have to do is point and shoot.

longwalker,
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like your 100 gr. speers is a pretty nice load.
Right now we've got a few box's of 75 gr. V-Max we're trying to work up to a coyote load. Its fun just concocting new receipes for the loads. You say though that the 100 grain speers work on Mule Deer. I may have to try that. Have been using 115 gr. Nossler Ballistic tips for deer. Not very satisfied with them. Seems like at 125 yds. and under the bullets blow up pretty bad and from 200 to 300 yds. don't seem to get much expansion.
This doesn't appear to me to be a very versatile bullet, though I have to say they are very accurate.

I had phenomenal luch with AA 4350. Great varmint load. Look in the AA manual and it is very close to max. Can not remember off the top of my head now.
