Well authorities need something to deter crowds which is non-lethal and doesn't cause injury.

I've heard of other sound technologies that project sound that reforms when it reaches and object. As an example, you could use this technology to talk to an individual that you could see out in front of you and no one else around them could hear it. Guess it must not have panned out as I haven't heard anymore about it the last few years.

I wonder what happened to the heat projecting device they developed a couple of years ago...it was brilliant and from what I remember harmless, but very effective at dispersing mobs of people.

146db @ 1m will cause immediate hearing damage (anything over 141db does this).

Much as I dislike these self important, delusional protesters, I want them severely discomfited, not permanently damaged

I agree they can SAY what they want. But as soon as they riot all bets are off.

Have you seen the hog traps? It's a frame that hold a covered fence overhead. When the hogs get inside the pen comes down and latches. I think those idiots are stupid enough to get caught in one. It's made of cyclone fencing and a charging hog can't get through it so they won't be able to throw anything out side the cage. I think it could work. After being in the pen a few days they will calm down and accept federal arrest.
