That feeling you get when an article about you in a knife Magazine comes with a warning for "offensive" contents.
The article about Gelandangan was on this quarter's Australian Knife Magazine.

Free press! good on you!
Can you micro engrave my firing pin for me? I'd like it to say... oh, never mind. This IS a family forum after all.

LOL
Yeah I can engrave your firing pins for you anytime Paul
Quite a good idea IMHO if you are not doing anything naughty, this way you can see exactly if the cases on the ground are yours.
OTOH, the chance of denial would be zero if you are doing naughty things

Gelandangan,
I was mostly joking but now you have me curious. The testing on micro stamping firing pins in the states showed that within a few uses the micro stamping would be unreadable and before long it would be gone. How long does your microstamping last and what is the cost?
Cost for "2nd Amendment" or "Molon Labe"
Would I just send you a pin and payment and you send it back? How would that transfer work through customs of our two countries?

Depending on the hardness of the firing pins, I am pretty sure my micro engraving can last for a while.
After all, I do make stamps for jewelers hallmarks and they do use them for years stamping their name on silver, gold or whatever alloy they use.
On firing pins, they are only hammered on to brass which is a soft metal, so I cannot see it get damaged too fast.
I might be wrong tho since I have never done this before I actually do not know how long it would last..

Will it be hard to get through customs? I'd mail it from the USA to you in Australia...
What payment forms do you take? Cash is a no go but check money order, postal money order or certified check from the bank. I'd like to test it on an AR firing pin.
You can PM me with the details and we can give it a go and I can let you know how long it works and how the wear occurs. It'll be a fun experiment.
