Got an email from an older member today - jeh7mmmag.

He included this video...fantastic.

Thanks for posting, Vince. That was fun. One of my buddies I hunt with is on the board of the Texas Big Horn Sheep organization. He spends a lot of time developing their habitat so they can thrive. Every time he goes out on a project, I'm not in town to volunteer.

My friend is also working with the National Park Service to bring Big Horn Sheep back to Guadalupe National Park in West Texas. The park rangers shoot every Aoudad they see because the Aoudad directly competes for the habitat - and wins. The Aoudad rams are bigger, stronger, and sequester the Big Horn ewes when they are in heat. New Mexico introduced the Aoudads from North Africa. The Aoudads are amazingly hardy animals and can survive without water. I was lucky enough to be drawn for a NM wilderness Aoudad hunt just North and within sight of Guadalupe National Park a couple of years ago. I'm waiting for the draw results for the next hunting season.
