Hurricane Florence

It looks like our mate Pumpkinslinger resides right in the path of this massive hurricane. I'm not aware of any other Nuts who live in that region, but if there are any...be safe guys...especially if you live near the coast which is where the winds etc will be at their most destructive.

Punkin...be safe and look out for your family. Check out your storm shelter mate, make sure you have the necessary stores and watch out for looters (I suggest a quality semi auto pistol, a 6.5mm Creedmore rifle and a 12g pump or semi auto shottie mate, and of course plenty of ammo for all of them).

Wow. THat's going to cover a lot of area! Almost up to Canada. Looking at the map it appears that another storm is following behind this one. Has it been given a name yet or indication of severity?

Yep, might be bad. I believe we'll be OK at home, I'm 200 miles from the impact point. I'm worried about my daughter who moved to Wilmington a few months ago. Her house is about 6 miles from the projected impact. My understanding is that they've gone about 50 miles inland to a hotel...

The Governor said we should expect FEET of rain in some areas along the coast. The power company expects 1 to 3 million customers to lose power.

Still over 100 MPH . been though a few of these the slow moving ones generally dump the most rain .

Breezy with a little rain at my place today. My daughter is stuck in a hotel in Warsaw, NC, without power. They say they're leaving tomorrow but not sure to where...
