Ah, man's encroachment into the natural bushland and feed areas of the native animals. So long as the property developers are making money, they don't give a rat's rectum about anything else.

Biggest problem I have identified out here is a developer will buy a parcel of land, usually 5 acres - 15 acres, and the first thing they do is apply a 'scorched earth policy'...they remove every piece of green, native or otherwise, and usually half of the topsoil with it. This is so they can mark out roads and divide the block up into as many blocks as they can. More blocks equals more money. The bad part of this 'scorched earth policy' is the native animals that were living there (koalas, parrots, native birds, possums and other small native rodents) now no longer have the bushland that provided them with food and shelter. The developers then plant cheap, easy to grow shrubs...usually non satisfy the "green content" of the development.

Is my intense hatred of property developers showing? burr burr burr
