we are all getting ready for hunting season.

All done for us in these parts. Filled 6 of 6 tags, 2 elk, 3 deer and a antelope. This saturday is the first we get to sleep in in quite a while.

Did you manage to bring that monster Buck in for SWMBO mate?

Next weekend is MN deer opener. This will be the first time I get to hunt the entire 11 day season.

I'll post a picture in a new thread. She got a nice big mature mule deer. It went 25" wide and 4x4 with eyeguards. My boy got the entire encounter on video so I was able to pull a few nice pictures of him before she decided it was "The One". Lol!

I think she passed on 30 to 40 bucks that day, one was a huge 4x3 she really regretted later. That evening we found nearly an identical buck but this one split right at the end of the one tine.

It was a huge deer and she is super happy with it so that makes me happy too.

Hell I have 11 days for rifle season and then from the 26th through the 11th for muzzleloader season. Plenty of time to find two deer willing to sacrifice themselves to keep e fat. Plus SWMBO can have two critters. Hopefully I can get her to put in her time this year. She has not shot one yet. She has seen a few but has never beer able to get a shot off at one.
