At the range today I ran fifty rounds of my reloads through this mint condition used 1911A1. The function test was to check five different magazines in this pistol and all worked just fine. At fifteen yards I chewed the center out of a target. Too bad that I cannot post pictures. An older Air Force veteran watched me shoot and examined the Auto Ordinance pistol and said at $386 I stole it. It clearly shoots as well as my Colt, Springfield and Rock Island 1911 handguns. All the best...

There is this family run pawn shop in town and they have a larger assortment of new and used guns than most of the other stores that have gun departments. I bought my CZ there for under $300. I did spend a little more to get two more mags a mag speed loader and some factory brass so I could just reload the "new" once fired brass.
All that brass has been polluted with the range pick-ups. So far the segregated brass by capacity all shoot to the same point of impact.
When I pick the bullet and load to shoot in competition I will get some better sights that are adjustable and have the fiber optic rods in them for easier target acquisition.

Don't hate me (LOL). I shop at several very nice small gun shops and pass on many of the guns they have on sale. I have developed a relationship at all the shops I visit and they know what I like. They also know that I will not waste their time and walk the talk. Take care. All the best...

There is a young man where I work who is always finding deals on guns, usually at pawn shops. $150 for a Ruger LCP, etc. I've been telling him that I need to go shopping with him!
