Went calling with my son and nephew on Monday. When you hunt with those two you have to shoot quickly and accurately. My son is home on leave after being deployed with USMC infantry and it was the first time I had the "pups" back with Dawgdad in about 4 years. We hit several stands and my nephew got a nice male and my son took this female.

When the Marine LT come up shooting he does not like to track a coyote.

It was only about 75 yards but dang....

The one I had a shot at hung up at 300 yards and I was snow camoed up in the middle of a field and could only get to a prone position to shoot. I had it nicely centered up in the crosshairs and let the shot go only to see the snow and dirt fly up about 20 yards in front of me. I had scope clearance but not bore clearance over a small rise in the field.

Wonderful time for Dawgdad and the pups

I don't think meditation is on that dogs mind - oops - no brain left to have a mind.

He'll come and

Well done Ell Tee...damn fine shooting there Sir and a credit to your instructors. One to take back to your platoon and say, "The standard is set guys". Salute Salute

It's great to get the "team" together Dawdad, and I'm sure the pups got as much out of it as did you mate.

That shot will even make us Army Ranger types say "not bad for a jarhead
EL T".

Tell the guys to get home safe, and always watch their six.

The LT is in South Korea for a spell. He is the one with the shades in the middle of this group of DevilDogs after leading them through the Murph challenge workout on Monday.

His mother and I will be pinning his Captains bars on him when he gets back home mid summer.

A very keen and fit squad of guys there DD, and must say your 'Pup' certainly looks great and damn proud of his charges. I'll be expecting to see pics of you and SWMBO pinning on those Captains bars mate.
