One of the reasons I escaped the USSR of C was to get away from having to hear mexican. So nice here in Ava. No mexicans...

I grew up with Mexicans, love the language, but don't speak much. How do you get away with living in Ca., Az., NM., Tx. without knowing some Spanish, all the street names and such. The 2010 census said the population in Ava had 1% Latino (maybe 300 or so) ....did they all leave when you arrived?

When I came to Ava there was one mexican restaurant. It closed. Then another opened up, but it closed shortly after it opened. ????

With a population of barely 3000 I don't suppose there's a sushi bar either.

It's 3001 when I'm in town and 3000 when I leave.
No sushi bar, but we do have Two restaurants, a pulled pork BBQ, Asian eatery, and a new MEXICAN place. Grrrrr!!
