I heard about Brussel Belgium being in lockdown due to the terrorism.
Keep your head down and stay safe mate.

This thing is getting bad and really getting into the lives of many unrelated people.
It got to stop.

Stay safe Aloys, and don't trust any of them mate. Read the following...

I trust them, I trust they'll lie, murder, rape, and destroy anything that resembles our society and culture, there is only one answer since our collective governments have quit doing their jobs.

There's so many targets in Brussels, why would they ever leave? Lots of gun owners there, maybe they can exercise some self defense moves. Obama said our best defense is to tell them we're not afraid.....yeah count me in on that strategy.... “My only interest is to end suffering and to keep the American people safe. If there is a good idea out there, then we’re going to do it,” he said. (I guess he's still looking for a strategy?)

“What I’m not interested in doing is posing or pursuing some notion of American leadership, or America winning or whatever slogans they come up with, that has no relationship to what is actually going to work to protect the American people and protect people in the region who are getting killed,” he said. “I’m too busy for that.” (Donald Trump be warned)

"There will be an intensification of the strategy we put forward, but the strategy that we are putting forward is the strategy that ultimately is going to work," he said. "But as I said from the start, it is going to take time." (yes they need more time....to come up with a strategy)

Yesterday the U.S. launched airstrikes on hundreds of trucks conveying oil to market, destroying 116. But we made certain no civilians were hurt by dropping leaflets an hour before the strikes, alerting ISIS to the imminent bombings. (wouldn't want to hurt the wrong people....) He explained further that even if there was only one civilian at risk, his pilots would withdraw, no matter how important the target. The upshot of that policy is that 75 percent of our combat missions return to base without dropping a single weapon. (A wonderful cost savings to the tax payers)

Oh here's some breaking news:
Creative writing, or at least creative interpretation, lies at the heart of a brewing scandal in which some 50 intelligence agents at Centcom, the Pentagon’s agency covering Central Asia and the Middle East, have charged military brass with altering reports to make it appear that the U.S. is winning the ongoing campaign against ISIS. Those leveling the charges have reportedly been encouraged to resign, and some have indeed left. (Can't wait for a follow-up on that one)

Stay safe Alloys!!!
Suz

Thanks for your concern, but till now it seems that strangers don't trust my dogs...
when you use a gun in self-defence, you need a good lawyer overhere. When a dog breaks its line and attacks an intruder, it's "force majeure"...
and I'm still feeling very safe: went hunting this morning with friends (2 hares and 2 pheasants) and shooting in the afternoon (mostly a .45 Hawken percusion rifle)
So I'm still training to stay safe Smile

PS: I went hunting with friends, not with hares and pheasants! We shot 2 hares and 2 pheasants Smile

This scares me more than terrorism. Although he has taken no action to stop terrorists from entering this country, I can already see our dear leader using this sort of national emergency as an excuse to halt elections.

"French MPs have voted to extend the national state of emergency for three months, as François Hollande prepares a major tightening of security laws in the wake of the Paris terror attacks that killed 129 people."

"The new beefed-up emergency measures include:

Expanded powers to immediately place under house arrest any person if there are “serious reasons to think their behaviour is a threat to security or public order”.
More scope to dissolve groups or associations that participate in, facilitate or incite acts that are a threat to public order. Members of these groups can be placed under house arrest.
Extended ability to carry out searches without warrants and to copy data from any system found. MPs, lawyers, magistrates and journalists will be exempt.
Increased capacity to block websites that “encourage” terrorism.

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”-Ben Franklin

BB, you're right!
But some forces are pushing their anti-gun-laws now. I don't understand how more paperwork and/or less guns for me will keep these illegal bombs and Kalashnikovs out of Europe and/or Belgium.
I would suggest that they declare the total Middle-East as gun-free-zone and guard it by force. It would also solve that refugee-problem when they extend this gun-free-zone to North-Africa...

that's where we made another mistake. When I was young I learned in school that 80 % of new-born African people died before the age of 2... you see the mistake we made? And now you talk about a one child policy? Be honnest: when you have to fill your day with thinking seated in front of your house, I think you also would use more time for the pleasant things in live... and when you don't go fishing nor hunting...
do I have to draw a picture or do you already understand? Smile

yeah I do understand I was being sarcastic..as that is about as feasible as what you suggested...its too late to shut the gate as the horse has well and truely bolted..... to try to get middle east gun free, would need a shoulder to shoulder walk through from one side to other of non corrupt forces, then you have issue of keeping it gun free.... so we they fill glass beer bottle with petrol and shove a rag in top and light it....so we best do another sweep to get rid of glass bottles and so on and so on and so on.

I can't remember ever having heard that a terrorist or a criminal had been thwarted by the paperwork requirements to buy a weapon. People are scared by the ISIS attacks and the politicians are taking advantage of that climate of fear to grab more power for themselves and strip civil liberties from the people. In many ways they are worse than the terrorists. Should terrorist attacks become frequent here and martial law declared, the stripping of liberties will not be accepted. It seems to me a lot of preparation has gone on by our government to control what they would like to consider possible domestic terrorists in the event of martial law. Groups that would not allow martial law to be abused by the government. Most, if not all of us would fit into at least one of these groups, if not more. "At one time, the term “terrorist” was used very narrowly. The government applied that label to people like Osama bin Laden and other Islamic jihadists. But now the Obama administration is removing all references to Islam from terror training materials, and instead the term “terrorist” is being applied to large groups of American citizens." thetruthwins.com/archi...-documents

What do all our governments want, they want total control (because you are an idiot and cannot figure out how to live your life without their intervention) and a one world government, that enslaves everybody to their rule. Everything that is happening is designed to destroy all the ideals you have been brought up with. You can say I am or call me crazy, or a conspiracy nut, but if you cannot look at what is happening worldwide and how little our governments are really doing to protect us, our cultures, beliefs, and our societies, then who is blind. If you cannot see the tree for the forest, then give up now. We are going to have to make a very painful decision soon. My faith, trust, and commitment is to God and his word, how many times and in how many ways does he have to tell us and prove to us what has and is going to happen.
