I like mine fried for a sandwich, or with eggs and taters. I'm into ham radio and there's a guy that makes a low power radio for Morse code that fits inside a spam can (ham in a can). He also made one for an Altoids can. You can get pretty stealthy doin stuff like that.

SPAM...haven't had any of that stuff for years...it's almost as good as the corned beef and corned beef hash we used to get in the Army ration packs.

I preferred the post 88 ration packs, you know the ones they brought in after all tne Vietnam era ones ran out, the veal tortillini was a good one.

Pete, when I was hungry I enjoyed any of them...hot or cold, so long as they filled the hole I was happy. Only ones I found a pain were the dehydrated packs. You had to rehydrate them and when cold they tasted like cardboard, but you didn't always have the time or the opportunity to heat them. When heated properly they were quite tasty though.

I've even been told by a mate he reckons when I'm hungry I'd eat sh1t if it was cooked properly.

Yep...usually mate...although the one thing I used to carry out bush was a small container of Worcestershire Sauce and another of Mustard Sauce. Either of those could make anything taste good...even road kill.
