Just be ready for a hug and just as ready to dodge the swings.
My wife has not had a real hard time with it but it goes on and on...
If you love then, and remind them of that it goes over better.

Yes Dear, No Dear...anything I can do to help around the house sweetheart? Just be there for whatever is needed and be mindful of mood swings and the 'hot flashes'. Most importantly don't do anything to antagonise or inflame a situation that it isn't worth.

She is still the same girl you married mate, but she is going through the opposite of puberty only with more and worse symptoms...in other words, HELL.
Just be supportive mate...she deserves it for putting up with you for all these years. Also, be aware that some women can get a bit 'frisky' during menopause, and you may find a bit more 'activity' on tap in the bedroom. Hope you are up to it mate.

having had previous partner go through the whole hog hysterectomy thing, yes dear is very good advice, the "changes" do make a difference in she may feel somewhat needy for a time.

Menopause is a breeze it all starts with perimenopause
But that only lasts 5 to 10 years
Hot sweats and all the moody swing changes
Ban sugar [sorry, limit the chocolate, stops a lot of the sweats of a night]
and make sure DHEA and Progesterone levels are balanced
SWMBO only gets antsi if the progesterone supply is threatened

There where times I was certain that one of us would not survive, and other times I was hoping. Be patient, kind and loving, grow a thick skin and imagine what you'd be like with fire ants attacking your crotch. Not saying that it is only her nether parts involved, its her whole body. (Just that the ants got me yesterday and that was the best image I could come up with) Oh, by the way it takes a long time to get past it, but you will.

Fire ants in the crotch...oh, that would be just plain nasty mate. I hope that's not where the little buggers got you buddy.

I remember many years ago, when my brother and I were still in our single figures, he sat on a tree stump when we were out camping. Now down here in the mighty Down Under, we have a species of ant that is related to wasps and hornets. They average 1" - 1.25" long, have massive great pincers on the front end and a very sharp 1/4" long stinger hidden in the back end, until they want to use it. Back to my brother and that tree stump...he sat very near a nest of these mongrel red ants and they decided to check him out (they have brilliant eyesight and will follow you and actually chase and attack). He ended up with about eight of these things up the leg of his shorts. The size of his "twins" would have made a full grown bull blush once Dad got his shorts off and the ants removed.

These thing actually use their pincers to grab a hold and stabilise, they then swing their tail under and start stinging.

Ask tikkat what they are like...I have no doubt he has first hand experience with the damn things...they are prolific where he comes from.
