Famous Presidential Lies Contest
Written by, To The Point News
LBJ:
· We were attacked (in the Gulf of Tonkin)
Nixon:
· I am not a crook
GHW Bush:
· Read my lips - No New Taxes
Clinton:
· I did not have sex with that woman... Miss Lewinski
GW Bush:
· Iraq has weapons of mass destruction
Obama:
· I will have the most transparent administration in history.
· The stimulus will fund shovel-ready jobs.
· I am focused like a laser on creating jobs.
· The IRS is not targeting anyone.
· It was a spontaneous riot about a movie.
· I will put an end to the type of politics that "breeds division, conflict and cynicism".
· You didn't build that!
· I will restore trust in Government.
· The Cambridge cops acted stupidly.
· The public will have 5 days to look at every bill that lands on my desk
· It's not my red line - it is the world's red line.
· Whistle blowers will be protected in my administration.
· We got back every dime we used to rescue the banks and auto companies, with interest.
· I am not spying on American citizens.
· Obama Care will be good for America.
· You can keep your family doctor.
· Premiums will be lowered by $2500.
· If you like it, you can keep your current healthcare plan.
· It's just like shopping at Amazon.
· I knew nothing about "Fast and Furious" gunrunning to Mexican drug cartels.
· I knew nothing about IRS targeting conservative groups.
· I knew nothing about what happened in Benghazi.
· I have never known my uncle from Kenya who is in the country illegally and that was arrested and told to leave the country over 20 years ago.
· And, I have never lived with that uncle. He finally admitted (12-05-2013) that he DID know his uncle and that he DID live with him.
· If elected I promise not to renew the Patriot Act.
· If elected I will end the war in Iraq and Afghanistan within the 1st 9 months of my term.
· I will close Guantanamo within the first 6 months of my term.
· I will bridge the gap between black and white and between America and other countries.
And the biggest one of all:
· "I, Barrack Hussein Obama, pledge to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America."
I believe we have a winner!!

Add to that the lies told by the republican candidates who were elected to the house and senate and there is no difference between the parties at all.
They were going to repeal bambam care, un fund Homeland security, and fix the border leaks.
They just rolled over and played dead.
It is time to elect Libertarians to every office in the federal government.

I would add to the lies list.
Woodrow Wilson:
-American boys are not going to fight in a European war (1916)
FDR:
-American boys are not going to fight in a European war (1940)
LBJ:
-American boys are not going to fight in an Asian war (1964)
All the best...

If all the conservatives voted for the most conservative party (Libertarian) then we would have a Libertarian president, house and senate.
We would also have our liberties and rights back. No more of the feds interfering where they should be protecting.
We have a republican house and senate now and they just roll over at the whim of the liberals and socialists. They don't even try to undo what damage has been done and they aren't even trying to slow down bambam at all.
I really see no difference between the democrat congress that we have had for the last 6 years and the republican congress we have now.
Vote the way you want but don't expect things to change just because we get a republican president. It ain't gonna happen!

Paul I couldn't agree with you more, but there are a lot of ifs there. I had been a registered Republican all my life until the disappointment of this Republican Congress and Senate rubber stamping Obama's wish list. I had recently switched my affiliation to Independent, but in reality there is no viable third party alternative. Remember how Ross Perot gave us Clinton? I know that if we never stand up against this two party system we'll always have it and I wish I knew the answer, but I'm not at all sure there is one. I can't think of a time when this country and all it stands for were under a greater threat and I include the Civil War/War of Northern Aggression. The only good I see from the Republican Party is that they have allowed us to retain our Second Amendment rights. Imagine that, they allowed it. Well in the long run that may be a good thing because it's looking more and more like we'll need our guns. Keep your powder dry my friend!

BigBlue,
I can see what you're saying but remember the first assault weapons ban and the patriot act were signed by republican presidents.

I prefer to consider myself an Independent since both sides have their share of fools, but splitting the vote guarantees one thing only - Democrat rule.

About that third party stuff.....
Here's some history lesson from Ann Coulter;
Having been at the forefront of the movement to draft Ronald Reagan and defeat the Evil Empire, the great M. Stanton Evans, (who passed away on Tuesday), had recently turned to the next greatest danger for America: immigration.
As I'm sure you've read by now, Evans helped kick off the American Conservative Union's first-ever CPAC in January 1974 and invited Gov. Ronald Reagan to speak. (This was back when CPAC mattered.)
That conference occurred in the middle of the Watergate scandal. If you think things look bad now, right-wingers, imagine how it looked back then. Conservatives were already livid over President Nixon's wage and price controls, and then got hit with stories about members of the Nixon administration breaking into Democrat headquarters and burglarizing the psychiatrist's office of Pentagon Papers-leaker Daniel Ellsberg.
Stan confessed to the CPAC conferees that he never liked Nixon until Watergate. He apologized to Nixon speechwriter, Pat Buchanan, saying he wouldn't have been so tough on the administration if he'd know about "all that great stuff you guys were doing."
A few years later, the conservative movement suffered another blow when Reagan ran for president a second time in 1976 and lost the primary to Gerald Ford, who then lost the presidential election to Jimmy Carter. Conservatives were in despair and champing at the bit to start a third party.
After the twice-defeated Reagan spoke to cheering throngs at CPAC in 1977, Evans, who opposed the third-party option, told him, "Governor, we got your message, and I think you got ours." Reagan ran for president a third time, won the presidency and saved the country.
On another note;
Immigration, Stan wrote a few years ago, "is strictly about the votes, and nothing but the votes. All the rest is sham and smokescreen. Obama and his party want their 70 percent of these 11-plus million illegals and will stop at nothing to get it."

I know i am going to regret this but here goes....
Can anyone explain clearly what it is about Obama care that people don't like?
I say this with the caveat that 1) no one should have to go bankrupt because of illness, 2) everyone who has purchased insurance should be able to claim on a policy that has ACTUAL benefits not opps you're not covered, and finally 3) the more people that you have in the pot the less expensive it becomes to fund healthcare. The only people that are making money on the american health care system are the insurance companies not the average american taxpayer (and please don't go to the sick lame and lazy argument)

I can tell your are from Canada. This is America and we don't need the government into every thing we do or have. There wasn't enough wrong with our original system (the greatest in the world I might add) that couldn't have been correct by a little tweeking. For those who couldn't afford medical insurance fot FREE medical and we tax payers paid for it. Now not only are we, the tax payers< paying for their medical , but also suplimenting a larg portion of the population. Medical has sky rocketed for most and medical care will diminish.
Socialize medicine is socialism. This president wishes to socialize everything we do. anotherwords everyone makes $50,000 (spreading the wealth). No more no less. Pretty much comes down to communism.

If it's so great why has congress opted themselves out, why have special interest groups gotten waivers.
Why should one be forced to purchase a plan that has provisions they will never need/use. Example, a single male pays for maternity coverage.
There were families that had plans they were happy with. Why did the government get to decide they were not good enough. Remember the “If you like your plan you can keep it” and the “If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” Neither were true a lie from the get go.
How about the tax and penalty provisions. I have a company sponsored plan, In 2018 I'll be forced to start paying an excise tax of 40% on it. Someone who opts out has to pay a tax penalty, it's a progressive tax.
Take a look at the cost and deductibles of the plans. They're anything but affordable.
Why is my doctor required to submit my medical records to a government agency. Those records also include non-medical information.
Personally I have a problem with my tax dollars subsidizing this BS. Don't get me wrong I don't mind helping those in need but expanding medicare the way they did only expanded dependency.
Then there's the whole way this thing got passed and continues to be changed with political expediency.
How about the loss of jobs it has created.
How about the availability of doctors and hospitals, there are less now.
As for the insurance companies...... if they're doing so great why is the government bailing them out ???

As to fixing Washington......it will never fix itself regardless of party !!!
I believe the answer is in the States under Article V of the Constitution.

I concur with your sediment about keeping government out of our lives as much as possible. You have given me the kick to look up 'socialized medicine' online en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...d_medicine and I got my answer. Socialized medicine may be socialism in some eyes but really what Obama is talking about is Universal Health care. He is facing the same criticisms that Truman faced in 1947. Most of the first world has universal health care, Four of the 'Five Eyes", most of the european countries, and some mediterrian and african countries. But long story short I have had my question answered. Thanks Bushy.
