5 cm of snow falling in Blue Mountain and Lithgow
2000+ emergency call
road flooded
and
I found that the drain in front of my shed is blocked and water is running ankle deep through all my machinery and stuff in the shed.
some electrical tools I lift to the bench but some boxes of stuff (they are propped on top of bricks) are goner

2" of snow doesn't sound like that much of a challenge but flooding can take it all. Don't get too soggy, gelandangan. Hope your treasure don't become sunken.

2' of snow in place that not usually have snow is a lot.
In Oz, snow usually are confined to the Snowy ranges about 700 km away from Sydney.
The altitude of Blue Mountains is simply too low for snow fall, only freak weather brought snow to low areas.

I hope so too
I have not yet revisit my shed, since last night..
Got to go earn a living from early morning.
Will pull the place apart this evening after work..
Hopefully they will dry off by airing them after persuading them with WD40

gelandangan, definitely extremes. Looks like more than 5cm of snow! How did your treasures respond to their WD40 treatment?

Not sure yet Slim.. I am not going to run a motor until I deem it completely dry and it has not even 24 hours yet.

Take care guys. Snow where you don't expect it is a shock. I wish we had more in my neck of the woods, we are in a drought that's getting severe.
I haven't even used my snowmobiles in 3 years now... I'm considering selling them and buying a all seasons track kit for my atv.

WOOO HOOOO !!!
Bugger the drain at the moment..
What has been damaged would already be damaged.
This weekend I got an invitation to go rabbit sniping again..
So off wabbit hunting I'll go, and I'll get back to the damp shed in a few days
Hopefully it would be drier by then, the forecast is sunny weekend..
