A good friend borrowed some money and is having difficulty paying it back. I do not press him. Anyway, he gave me a Springfield XD Tactical 9mm that he bought new in 2007 and no longer wants. We did the paperwork and I settled down to check out the XD. Initially, it looks like a Glock with some better features according to some reviews that I have read. It has a grip safety like a 1911 Colt and standard rifling. It is a snap to fieldstrip and clean. Hope to shoot it this week. Take care. All the best...
Gil

Sounds like a good swap.

+1 Slim...Gil always seems to come out on top. As my Dad would say...good things happen to good people.

I've shot some XDs that belonged to friends and very much preferred them to Glocks. The XD is on my wish list ...
