Both a loss & a blessing, as he had been ill with Alzheimer's for some years & was getting worse.

Goodbye dad, I'll see you on the other side.

he will be with you the next time you get out in the countryside...
sit back and remember the good years and share those memories with your kids.

Alzheimer's bites...had a grandparent that had it for more than 10 years before she passed, sorry about your father Mike........ She would do some weird things like hide behind the shower curtain in the tub when were lookin for her. She also read the same newspaper for months, and television was like real people in her livingroom to her. I always think that might be a good way to go, as you really don't have a clue what's going on anyway. Oh well, I'm sure you'll keep him in your dreams, he's a huge part of who you are physically and mentally, the mirror still leaves a reflection.

Sorry to hear that Mike.
Its the curse of middle age to bury the older generations that mean so much to you.
Remember the good times.
My condolences to you and the family.

I'm really sorry to hear of your Dad's passing mate.

Alzheimer's is a terribly debilitating disease that does terrible things to sufferer and family alike. He is in a better place now awaiting your arrival in years to come. Having said that, he will always be with you, in your mind and your heart, no matter where you are or what you are doing. You can still "talk" to him...I talk to my Dad and ask his advice regularly, even though he has been gone six years. You will be surprised how it helps mate.
