Lapua does make really good brass and loaded ammunition sometimes the easiest way to get, is buy the loaded stuff and shoot it once, lapua isn't cheap but lasts twice as long as anything else in the calibers I shoot it in. Graf and sons is a direct importer for lapua and have specials that include free haz-mat w\ bulk orders. Depending on where you are this can pay off pretty fast. Graf= 800-531-2666 or www.grafs.com

Hornady has loads for 0.308", 0.310" and 0.312" bullets in the 7.62 x 54R in their manual.

Have you slugged the bore?
