I have no personal experience with cast bullets in a .308 or 7.62x39 so I looked around some. See if this helps any>> newsgroups.derkeiler.c...00163.html

Cast 162 grain lead with a gas check can be loaded with
10 - 15 grains Unique
23 - 41 grains RX7
in Winchester cases with 8 1/2 - 120 primers
This, according to my Lyman#47 book.

added: my old Hodgdon manual quotes 31 grains of 4895
That is from a very old book and I don't trust the data without another source that lists the same powder.

my old {#25} Hodgdon manual only has 150's and 180's but they are listed at 32g's for the 150's and 30g's for the 180's in H4895 so PaulS's load sounds right. As for your other powders they aren't listed. Only H4831, H4895, H4198, and H4227 are, in that order.

jeclif, you need a Lyman Reloading Manual, it includes more cast bullet data than anything else.
