Well I shot a email to the store I got my M1A on order, and it got pushed back to March before I can get it according to the distributor, which is alright I guess originally they said April but were going to try and fit it in for January. Neutral

So now I must wait a couple more months. Sad

But the store has been A+ to deal with through this whole thing. And it gives me some time to save up money for the scope mount for the rifle! Very Happy

Dimitri;

That is a long wait, when your all fired up for a new gun! Just remember, absence makes the heart grow fonder! NOT!!! LOL!!
Are you going to use this rifle in match shooting or as a general go to rifle?
I've shot a couple of them, they were quite accurate and easy in the recoil dept..... I better shut up before I talk myself into looking into one to buy!! LOL!!...........I wish you the best of luck with it!..............Gene.................

Both actually Gene, getting the Loaded mode with the walnut stock cause it has NM sights, Medium weight Barrel and a NM trigger. Smile

As well as I'm in the process of trying to get a Sadlak NM Pistol and NM Op-Rod Spring Guide to make it shoot better as well.

All thats left is to Unitize the Gas Cylinder, and add a scope base and a scope on it. Smile

I've been waiting 6 years to buy it as a matter of fact, since I first saw it at a hunting/shooting show I went to and held it and been waiting since November when I put the order in with the store to actually buy it!

This is the model I'm getting:

www.springfield-armory...version=46

Its a civilian version of the old US service rifle known as the M14 or currently known and seen in Iraq and Afghanistan being used as a Designated Marksman Rifle. Smile

Hang in there 'Mitri.

As you said mate...this will give you a little more time to buy the other bits and pieces you want. When you do get your rifle then you will hopefully have everything there you want.

THEN, you can apply all of that good engineering knowledge you have and turn out a top shooter.

Cheers, Vince

Vince,

The scope mount without the rings for this rifle is a good 200-300$. And magazines for it in Canada cost 60$ or more each. Shocked

Won't have everything I'd like but I'll have more then I would have had. Smile

The rifle is 2,400$ plus taxes. Smile

Funny thing is New Years eve I was going out to a function and I made mention that I'm willing to spend over 2,000$ on a rifle but not on my own wedding, 2 out of the 3 girls I was with at the time didn't look impressed. Laughing

What about the 3rd girl??? Keep throwing that line out there, it will be a good thermometer for the right girl. Sorts them out nice as you please. When she bites and says, yeah, what a waste, let's go to the range, you will know she is the one.
