To go to officers training you need ether 2 years universaty here or 3 years college. I'm only going to have 2 years, but the military pays for it if you want to do extra universaty/college part time on time off so I just might go for Engineering or similar and ether go for officers training (would be a Lieutenant - said as Leftenant - this way) or leadership training (can become a Sgt this way). Dave's kid here
I just have to ask what makes you feel old. I've been working in a local high school for the last few months and am starting to feel every day of my 29 and then some.
So what makes ya'll feel old.

Hey, Dave's kid!

1. Aubri on "Deal or no Deal".

2. Watching my grandkids during our annual Easter Egg Hunt and waterfight.

Dimitri: Officer: the pay and food is better! And, if they pay for the additional year or two.....PLUS, every year of higher education increases your lifetime earnings by a significant amount. Smile

Well besides my students my friends kids are making me feel old. My friend who's younger than me has a ten year old. Her 8 year old is starting to talk about when she goes to college and she dresses like Britnay Spears before the haircut.

Terminal no but it's the start to heading down hill, at least to me. That and the gray hair in my bangs that keeps getting pointed out to me. I know in cmparison to some it's not old but I just remember thinking how old it was like 15 years ago and now I'm there.

Oh and now old is 10 years older than my grandpa at 83.

Pay is pretty good in the Canadian Forces even for Non-Comissioned especially for the trades, the feild I'm applying to get into is a "specialist" trade so it means better pay scale plus I got outside education in the trade (my college) which does count I'm told, and no free food which is different for NCM and Offices you pay for your meals on base. Wink

Hmmmm - Felling old? I know I'm getting old. I haven't had a boss at work that was older than I am for about 15 years now ( a bunch of jobs).

How about when my daughter asked me, "What was it like when you were litlle, you know, before they had HORSES?"

When someone at the checkout, barely old enough to drink, calls me "sir".

When a college grad w/ a sheepskin in auto mechanics asks me how to set points.

Seeing my face in the mirror after 5 days in the bush w/o a shave.

Being older than a lot of the calibers on the shelf at the local supply joint.

And what REALLY makes me feel old is when:

My hairs fall out, my farts get wet and my ba**s float in the bathtub!

In college days i remember the all the days in my college life.Life College is stressful and some students have more difficulty than others trying to cope with a new routine and environment. When I attended college, I was thrilled. It was pleasant to be on my own and under the thumb of parental vigilance.
