What does this mean?
#5: Re: Hodgdon Load Date Site Author: Handloader, Location: Phoenix, ArizonaPosted: Sun Jan 28, 2007 11:53 pm ---- VihtaVuori Oy powders are manufactured in Finland and are used extensively in competitive shooting, from handguns to rifles. It is consistent lot to lot and of high quality and clean burning. The challenge has been to find the stuff either on line or at your local stores.
If Hodgdon assumes distributorship of Vihta, sales volume will increase and (because of bulk packaging/shipping to dealers with other powders distributed by Hodgdon), the price may stablize or decrease slightly.
#6: Re: Hodgdon Load Date Site Author: 4rum, Posted: Mon Jan 29, 2007 6:32 am ---- I've wanted to try vita... vital...visa.... what Handloader said, for a long time. I have seen some loading data, I imagine the data and powder will be more widely available now. I have heard good things about the powder.
#7: Re: Hodgdon Load Date Site Author: jeh7mmmag, Location: DFW, TX.Posted: Mon Jan 29, 2007 10:07 am ---- Thanks Handloader,
I had CRI and could not spell VihtaVuori Oy
I have not had time to study site but I think it has Hodgdon, IMR, and WW powder all listed. I need to spend a little time on the site but it looked good.

#12: Re: Hodgdon Load Date Site Author: jeh7mmmag, Location: DFW, TX.Posted: Mon Jan 29, 2007 3:43 pm ---- HODGDON®, IMR® AND WINCHESTER online and printable.
#13: Re: Hodgdon Load Date Site Author: d_hoffman, Location: Chillicothe, OhioPosted: Fri Feb 16, 2007 9:17 pm ---- The Hodgdon site does have win powder tables and IMR tables as well as Hodgdon.
Vihtavuori, Hodgdon, IMR, Winchester, Ramshot, Accurate, Alliant and Goex powders are readily available at midwayusa.com, however, you'll not only have the expected shipping charge but also a hazardous material charge which is not cheap.
#14: Re: Hodgdon Load Date Site Author: PaulS, Location: South-Eastern Washington - the StatePosted: Tue Feb 20, 2007 2:40 am ---- Their reloading data site offers only Winchester, IMR, and Hodgdon powders. Maybe they will be ading the Vihu powders data at a later date.
#15: Re: Hodgdon Load Date Site Author: sniper, Location: UtahPosted: Wed Feb 21, 2007 11:56 am ---- Thank You! They have heavier bullet loads for my rifle!
