I have made sourdough bread for decades. It's great because you don't have to add yeast. As long as I have salt, wheat to grind to flour, and water I can make anything related to bread - even cinnamon rolls! Although you have to have some extra stuff like cinnamon and sugar I keep that and some powdered milk for pancakes and French toast along with eggs. It really takes very little to make a lot of things from sourdough. It's also healthier for you than store bought bread.
