Now why should he be "PISSED" about not being tested? Go home drink lots of fluids, take a few aspirin and get plenty of rest. Keep an eye on the baby. Where's the wife/mother?.

Wife's home with him. They are just really worried their first new infant is sick along with the husband, and no-one will even see them to check up. When he first really got sick, we only had around 50 confirmed cases, so its not like resources should be too terribly strained at this point.

If the medical staff is taking this so serious they lobbied the Governor to mandate no gatherings, no sporting events, closing of bars and restaurants etc etc, you would think the medical staff should want to get sick people under observation and isolation asap.

Nooooo!!!!!!
Do not take Asprin or ibprofen.
They effect the bodies ability to fight virus's.
Someone has gone and looked at the 1917 to 1920 influenza pandemic and has found the number of deaths spiked greatly after they started useing the then new drug aspirin.
They now know why.

These people are putting out good factual information, not the hysteria the media is peddling, go watch this vid and have a look at the rest of this channels content some interesting info in there, if a bit technical.

Stay healthy

Wash your hands Geoffery, with the Solvo Geoffery.......

I saw reporter crying that we needed to test everyone in the US. Can you imagine how bogged down medical services would get trying to test 330 MILLION people?

Right now, testing needs to be limited to where it's really needed, so health care workers, seriously ill people with symptoms of covid & those such as retirement home workers & the residents of those homes.
Unless you're ill to the point of dialling 911, there isn't the capacity to test you, or the resources to deal with millions of requests for tests.

Me?
I'm keeping shopping to once a week, having zero physical social contact & worrying greatly I might miss something & end up infecting my 90 tear old mother who I care for.
I'm going fishing on a pretty remote lake tomorrow with a friend - both using our own trucks & staying at least 5yds apart.

They don't have enough protective gear for the doctors and nurses to test people let alone treat those that are sick.

dhc4ever. I have been given or taken Bayer aspirin sense I was a baby. It stops pain, fights inflamation and helps me deal with occasional headaches and tooth pain. I doubt what that videos says as I very rarely have the flu and when I do it does not slow me down. I just feel slightly dizzy. Aspirin ends that in minutes. You [and him] are the only ones I have heard this from and I watch fox news religiously.

It's getting more stupid here than normally. Everything that sounds like hobby or sports is forbiden, even fishing and since yesterday: hunting. And hunting including the use of a Larssen trap to catch magpies. So I'm no longer allowed to catch magpies, that trap is not allowed to be "sharp", is a non-essential movement to check the trap... on the other hand it is essential that I go there to feed the decoy magpie…
It's not allowed to sit alone on a high seat to shoot roedeer (doe and kittens are open till March 31th), but everyone should go walking, running, cycling IN THEIR OWN NEIGHBOURHOOD with maximum 1 friend or the members of his own family (living in the same house!)

But being old style and hearing that one must wash the hands often with alcohol... I still have a decent amount of slyvovitch from the time I went hunting to Czech Republic. I always kept it for my car for a gasoil shortage or so, but now me thinks it's OK to clean and desinfect my inside. Slyvo alone is rather difficult, but with beer... (think "Beer und Schnapps" from our Eastern neighbours, who visited us a few times last century - even their special greetings with the right hand elevated seems to be good corona-advice nowadays... Smile )

When the going gets tough…
we still have nuts on the HuntingNut Smile

UK now on full lockdown, with severe restrictions on leaving one's home.
All thanks to the cretins who spent the weekend packing into seaside resorts & national parks.
Images this morning of the London Underground system packed with people probably tipped the balance.
I can only hope these retards are the ones who succumb to the virus, rather than the poor sods working for the health service.

Well Bushy, smarter blokes than me have worked the aspirin/ibprofen thing out.
Weve all used these drugs and they do work to do as you stated, just dont take them if you have a bonafida case of influenza or covid type virus, in these cases they do more harm than good.
Well they shut indoor venues, restaurant's, cafes, pubs, clubs here in Queensland as of noon yesterday, out door venues are still functioning,, take away food only using disposable plates, cups and cutlery, the state borders for Queensland shut tomorrow.
Most of the other states and territories shut their borders yesterday.
All 3 football codes have now suspended operations, that does however remove the entertainment of watching sports commentators trying to make a game played in an empty stadium sound exciting. Well this has shot down the circus part of bread and circuses, now they are left handing out the bread.
Speaking of circuses I see your senate is playing politics again, perhaps you lot will get lucky enough for covid 19 to cull a fair percentage of those shitbirds.
Stay well.

This bloody virus is going to gut many of the world’s economies, although the greedy rich will find a way to make money from it no doubt.

As for me and my family...we are pretty much hunkered down now and watching the world from a socially acceptable distance of a minimum of 1.5 metres plus the length of my driveway. Oh yeah, and I’m reloading to ensure I have enough ammo in case it’s “needed”. Sniper Shooting I also bought another kilo of AR2206H powder yesterday, so I have, hopefully, enough powder for a while.

I wonder if this will be the start of a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. Scratch Scratch
Remember...head shots only. Sniper

I’m hiding now. Hiding Hiding :

I saw a headline today that said that the US was now "third in infections" in the world. Well, we also have the 3rd largest population. In infection RATE we were about 41st, with 127 cases per 1 MILLION people. The fatality rate in the US is about 1.2%, compared to about 3.4% worldwide. Here in NC our infection rate is 0.003 cases per 1 million people.

For comparison; Italy has a rate of 1057 cases per 1 million and a fatality rate of 9.5%. I've read that Italy historically has similar high numbers for the regular flu. The problem appears to be their medical system.

My rural county now has the 11th highest number of cases out of any local government district in the UK, despite having less than 1% of the country's population.
Nearest hospital is now closed to all but the most extreme (non covid) cases, with wards consolidated & everywhere with oxygen supply converted to emergency ICU.
Basement fitted out with racking for hundreds of body bags.
No funerals - just immediate cremation & the ashes handed over at a later date.

This is far worse than even this old pessimist predicted.
