stovey, it all looks great! However, I am beginning to think that a up keep for a boat is less than your shooting habit.

So- this rifle is getting some well worth and deserved upgrades- from glass, to stock, to bi-pod, and it's about time.

Side note: There's a lot of interwebs chatter going on now about the "new" Laughing 6mm's and all that. I'm not even going to get into that whole deal. Shooters should embrace the act of sending one, not chest-puffing and poo-pooing OG calibers and shooters. When I'm doing my part I can bang the same steel w/ my straight-stocked, 30-cal Tactical Sniper to 600y all day long, that the "Precision Rifle" crowd can with anything they are shooting in the same given format.

In any case, I welcome diversity and challenge. Simply said: BRING IT.

Stay tuned for more updates and testing as the build progresses.

Of all of the shooters I meet on the range with the latest and greatest caliber and $$$$$ equipment , 90% have trouble shooting a 1" group at 100 yards let alone holding 12" at 600 in some wind. Most have no idea how to shoot off of a bipod or a bench and I shoot way tighter groups from my belly with a sling than they can even think about. In order for you to gain any perceived advantage from a 6.5 CM or similar over a 175gr 308 out to 1000 you have to be able to hold 1/2 MOA or less and actually be able to read the wind and make the correct call for hold off or clicking. Even then on paper it comes to X count not total score usually.
