Because unlike for the 2nd one which does have it in writing (Leviticus 20:13), the first one is only a indirect connection based on the Talmud (not the Bible) reference that women cannot hold positions of authority (Judges or Kings), but doesn't actually mention women being religious figures as being wrong which is why even Jews have female Rabbi's today.

In fact, only descendents of Arron are allowed to be religious figures, according to the Bible, and while Genetic testing as shown that this seems to be the case for Jewish Rabbi's sharing a common bloodline beyond their other Jewish brothers, there is no such requirement in Christian churches. Which is a direct contradiction to the word of God in the Old Testament in other words it is heresy against the laws of God.

Dimitri- We are no longer under the law as far as punishment goes because Jesus was the last sacrafice and was the last one to be punished under the Old Testament.I have found one of the references that speaks directly to women as not having the authority to be pastors:
"1 Timothy 2:1 through to 1 Timothy 3:16 states the authority required to be in the positions of authority.

Look specifically at 1Timothy2:12.
This quote states it all.

Bible classes are really the place to learn about the Bible. Particuliarly Luthern LLC or Missouri Senate as they are a fundamentalist faith.

Yippee, quoting one of 14 books of the New Testament that were written by a guy who never met Jesus and instead claimed that he saw the resurrected Jesus in a vision. For that matter, Paul says alot of things that contradict the word of God in his books, as written in the Old Testament.

I say again, there are many quotes in the Old Testament that says the Word of God is not to change, as once said its always law.

Isaiah 40:8 - The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever."

Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I do not change"

Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?"

Proverbs 30:5-6 "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."
