I was playing with PointBlank and tried to enter a negative sight height number to see how the trajectory would be using a laser sight. I got an error. Obviously this is an unusual situation but I thought I'd mention it because I am putting a number of handgun loads in PB and I figure others will also be using laser sights mounted under the bore.

Interesting. Ok I'll run some tests on it.

Pumpkinslinger if you mount your lazer underneath you have made yourself a range finder. set your magic beam to hit your target at the same place as your sights at a given range eg 25yrds if you look along/ through your sights and the magic dot is above your aim point you will know its past your given range,if you cant see it with metal sights or its below your x hairs in the scope its at a lesser range. I have seen this done with a .22 magnum set for 100yrds and it was great for those shots out a wee bit as your guesstimation of range was slightly more accurate.
