Howz yer tastebuds doin Vinnie? still able to taste chocolate and all the important tastes? That's a very nasty lookin mug. You prob. don't have to shave there for a while. Take good care ole bean, does ice help? I'd wanna take the burn away...that must hurt.

Hi Suz...tastebuds are good. The actual beam of electrons is aimed lower and further back than the lickin' gear... thank goodness. I know how nasty this sort of treatment can be for teeth etc so I asked the Oncologist about those problems and she said all will be good.

I find Vitamin E cream and pure aloe vera gel (I cut a leaf off the plant in my garden) give the most relief, but yeah...the burn is very painful.

Luckily, the "beam" has at least slowed the growth of hair because even with an electric shaver it is too painful to shave over the burn.

I just want it over and done with...the rabbits are breeding like flies down at the farm and I want to get amongst them.

Cheers, Vince

Oh I'm so glad you can enjoy munchies. Ya, aloe vera is good stuff for burns, wish I could grow it here, I had some in Tucson and we used it for all sorts of stuff. You can make the skin cells regenerate faster by usin it too. It's good for constipation and a laxative (if you're so inclined). I guess it's also used to reduce inflammations and has really good powers for healing wounds. It's a natural fungicide and so on. You'll be all green and mushy inside. and grow spiny thorns on your.....well...probably not. I'd say you're bein well taken care of.

I'm writing like I speak. A lot of NDNs leave off the "g" in their speech. I used to make a point of at least spelling correctly but now every word that ends in "g" gets the red underline. It comes from our Native language not having that sound. Funny thing is I don't speak the Native language. I know a few words, enough to say howdy, where's the toilet and feed me more of that stuff, but it's generally a bunch of hooie unless you're around the older people that insist on it. My tribe extends into Mexico and so there's a lot of NDN and Mexican slang mixed in, it's very hard to get by without at least some Spanish. I only know the choice Mexican slang.

If you haven't tried it, you could put a red dot scope on the pistola and I bet you'd do pretty good. Both eyes open and look for the dot. I love mine on my .32 Ruger, it really works great. Last time I went out I put the target at 35yds and got a nice inch sized pattern. Pleased me no-end. That means I can still shoot a rabbit with it. Can't find any rabbit around here but I can start stalking squirrels I guess.

Aloe vera is a very versatile plant...good for what ails you. Didn't realise it was quite that versatile though.

I have a good quality red dot sight...a Tasco PDP4...that I have mounted on my 30.30 Mod 94 Winchester in the past. Wasn't too bad at all, and shooting both eyes open is something I'm fairly used to, shooting Trap etc...but with my .243 I want to be able to use my scope to make use of the full potential of the rifle and round. My right is improving, albeit slowly, so I think it should be pretty much back to normal in a couple of months. If not, I'll learn to shoot left handed.

OK...I give up...what is NDN? Confused

Cheers, Vince

If I have to tell ya......NDN....Indian....NDN....Indian....NDN....Indian say it....repeat it.....I saw it used on a web site HERE which includes a dissertation that I thought would an interesting read but you have to buy the thing to read it. It's probably commonly used but I've only seen it recently in print.

Suz grow your aloe indoors. aslong as it doesnt get frosted or too hot it will be fine put it where it gets indirect sunlight keep it watered but not too wet and they are easy peasy to grow. that Aloe vera just incase you are thinking of a bigger version.

DUH...of course...why didn't I see that. Confused I think I spent too long in the Army...NDN is one of the "authorised abbreviations used in Stores nomenclature, and that's all I seemed to be able to see. Laughing Laughing
