That's quite a marble bag Vinnie!! Probably make a female lez. roo kinda proud. Now....did they put the brand on the leather before or after.....never mind

Well the armadillo bag is actually a ladys handbag made from the skin (if that's what you call it) of an armadillo. The entire skin, legs and all. We used to see them when we went to Mexico. They like to make weird things out of dead animals. They always had the stuffed frogs in various occupational garb and poses and alligator babies all dried and laquered up. Sort of freeze dried armadillos and also the handbags. HERE'S a web site that has one on display, apparently they're quite the collectible now, they want $300 for that one. You aint a cowgirl with out one!!

Yep...a big 'Ol Man Red Roo certainly has a lot to be proud of mate. I made a "change" purse for one of my daughters many years ago...still had the fur on it too. She wouldn't use it...dunno why.

That's a pretty cool looking bag Suz...and from what I could see, they used the whole critter to make it too.

Does the armadillo have a hard body or is soft? I sorta have this mental image of a little "armoured tank" like critter ambling along threw the scrub.

Cheers, Vince

Yeah it's a hard body, sort of rolls up into a ball when threatened, to protect it's vitals. Unlike the roo that seems to put it's balls on a platter. Very Happy You should ask Bushy about it's habits, he's got em where he lives, I've only seen dead and stuffed or sewed into a purse. Now common Vinnie!! What daughter in her right mind is gonna carry a coin purse made outa some poor guys marble bag? If I shot a female bear and cut off it's boobie and made a OOOO nevermind.....you'd never understand.......you'd want one anyway...hang it around your neck with a boyscout compass in it. Confused It's like stool legs made out of deer legs, it's just gross, and not the way to honor an animal that gave up it's life. Boys!

but if you made me
a pen, made outa

Suz

Ok well....I thought ole FN would bite, I am kinda curious bout his new 6.8 I found an action for sale that I'm thinkin about buying (Swiss Mauser action), I think they were 6.5 and was just thinkin about what caliber to build (if I did buy it).

Roadjock I just noticed your reply. Funny I glanced over it the other night thinkin you just copy pasted and no reply. I need to slow up some times. So you're a truck owner, operator and hobbies is the game. Me too I have so many blades in the fire sometimes I don't know which to play with first. It keeps you sharp, interested and in the game of life. I'm one of those people that wants to get my hands on everything and say "look what I can do"! It's like bein a kid for a lifetime...nuthin wrong w'that.

What a magnificent outlook to have Suz. I reckon the best part though is having the young ideas with the older head. There are many times I wish I could have gone back to my childhood knowing what I know now.

I hear ya mate...I sometimes wonder how I made it alive and in one piece. Laughing But then again, going back, knowing what I know now might save me from some of the stupidity I got up to, but allow me to "enjoy" life more.

Money...won't buy you happiness, but it sure helps...and we don't stop playing cause we get old, we get old cause we stop playing.
