Never seen Johnny Carson sing before...the Rat Pack yeah!! My sister worked at a resort that Sammie Davis Jr. frequented in Florida. She said he had a huge beautiful black yacht that he would park off-shore and he gave out $100 tips like it was candy. There's lots of Mafia stories around those guys.

So Vinnie here's something I always wondered about.....If I went to some out-of-the-way other continent........like say...........Australia, would the music there be mostly foreign to my ears or not? I can imagine the music being local and all, but if I got tired of hearing it, or it was just too out of my taste, could I get back to the familiar easy enough? Always thought about it actually in a place like India, where I'm sure my hearing would be wrecked. Even the quiet it noisy there. But I always wonder about how much influence our music has in other countries.

Music in Australia is pretty much what you would expect to hear in the big cities in the US or UK or Europe Suz.

We have our C&W followings, but C&W Bars are few and far between in the cities...mainly in the bush pubs. There is also the obligatory mainstream pop...but we don't have what you would call a typically Australian style of music, although there are a few Aussie ballad singers that are very different to C&W.

John Williamson - True Blue

John Williamson - Cootmundra Wattle (had to include this song, I love it Crying or Very sad )

Aussie Bluegrass

A little Aussie Country Music

Sure, we have our homegrown bands etc...but they just play whatever the current trend is amongst the people.

Thank goodness we don't have anything like what you hear in India...I cannot abide the Bollywood phenomenon...it really irks me something chronic.

Cheers, Vince

You guys crack me up!!!!!!
I liked the last one (Stone Cold Beer) Terry Misra..I'm a guitar person and he has a nice rock sound. His voice needs some roughing up tho. he's too clean. Don't really care for country music unless it's got a great guitar. Actually any music with a great guitar is kibbles in my book. I had an electric guitar for a while but just sold it recently. I have 3 guitars and really love classical, the more Spanish sounding the better. I could listen to Santana for days and not be bored of it. I wish he was my neighbor. I would love to try out a sitar too, that would be soooo fun.

Thanks guys

Suz
