Went fishing with my brother today, he own a small motorised boat, so he took me a couple of kilometer out off the Sydney shore.

For years he had been asking me to go fishing with him, and I always refused.
I like to harvest animal, but I like to choose (and shoot) the one I want..
Fishing is like lottery.. Not my style..
It was a windy day and the swell is quite large.
Needless to say, being a land lubber, I got sea sick within the hour.
My bro felt sorry for me and we go back early, after only catching 5 fish.

While loading the boat back to the trailer, my NEW ANDROID phone decided to take a swim Sad

What a rotten day.. got rid of a lot of beer the wrong way, and now got a dead phone in my hand too..

I hope you guys have a bonza weekend.. better than mine.

went up to the canals with the family. brought home 4 salmon about 2lb each.
went out with me boy this morning and shot 2 lovely FAT canadas my daughter helped me process the geese this afternoon so a plurry great family weekend had by us.

Sorry Gelan!!! What rotten luck, sea sick is the worst too. Oh and the phone! You need a good luck charm. The Aussie dollar is stronger than the U.S. dollar, maybe that would be a good luck charm for you. Do they make a gold coin? That's what I would carry. (not really) I'd so some NDN lucky charm actually, but if I were you, go for gold.

You got my sympathy Gelan...as Suz says...bein' seasick is the worst mate.

Last time I went "outside" in a small boat I was so seasick it just weren't funny...I bought up everything but the boots, and I tried to get them up too.

I figured when I could taste the hairs around me butt I was getting close to turnin' inside out, so they took pity of my and took me back in to the boat ramp.

At least ya got some fish though mate...all I did was provide the burley for the other guys fishing.

Same as you Gelan,
spew within the hour (then recover after another hour)
I can take a travel pill and still spew, but its not as bad
Sad to hear about the phone, was it in a shirt pocket?
Because I've lost a few things that way.

h2o proof cellphone cases are cheap as and do work. I have one that I use when hunt/fishing.the sealegs pills work good too.

I feel for you re sea sickness, three cures,
1. Don't go to sea
2. Use medication - we got one here called Paihia Bombs- 2 pills 1/2 hour apart no problems
3. Find a boat thats not tippy. Our family always used one make of boat and I'd be barfing within 20 minutes under anchor, I convinced my dad to try another hull shape and I can be out there all day as long as I don't look down. I have had a couple of knocks to the head from work and driving incidents and that too can play havoc with your inner ear which is where it all stems from.

I should be fishing today - flat sea no wind etc but I gotta work ....bugger
