Just purchased a new Safety Harbor 50 BMG. Can't wait to get it picked up tomorrow. Already picked up all the reloading so I can feed it a steady diet. I have had an unreason urge to own one for years and finally gave into temptation, Ought to be a ton of fun.

Wow, I hope the muzzle brake works well. Did you get the AR upper? did you get the side magazine?

Very interested in knowing how well it shoots for you.

Don't you need a hydralic press to reload those big bullets as a standard press just isn't big enough?

Congrats on joining the .50-cal club!

Got one more question for you. If an AR lower, are you going to fit a recoil pad on it and how?

Just got her home. And the muzzle break seems plenty big!! Came with all the bells and whistles, mono pod, bi pod, carrying handle and an extra mag all new. The is the side fed mag version and it is a complete firearm not just an upper. Pics and updates to come after I get back from a week of fly fishing in ID and MT. SEE YA

Fishing for flies...okaaaaay. Thats where they whip that rod and line back and forth in the air and hope to jag one of them pesky little buggers isn't it? Personally myself, I find it easier just to leave a lump of old meat layin' around...they come to it in droves. Razz Still nowhere near as much fun as bustin' caps on a 50 BMG mate...but what ever floats ya boat Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I'm with Gelan...

"You go FISHING and leave your NEW gun at home???? Shocked

You ARE nuts!!" Nuts Nuts Nuts

Hurry up with them pics mate...I gotta check out this baby.

Cheers, Vince

Stick that muzzle brake under the water's surface and watch all the fish float to the surface from the concussion. You wouldn't even have to aim at them!

Yah. The concussion from those babies is something else! A couple of local guys shoot the 50 BMG in competition. There is a minimum allowed trigger pull (I think it's 3 lbs). Before this rule, some shooters had their triggers down under a pound. The concussion from the next shooter's gun down the line would sometimes fire their rifle!

Those cannons look like they are the most fun of all to shoot.

Did you get the S50 or R50?

I got the R50 and i've been reloading some once fired cases with the LEE press and it realy isn't that difficult if you LUBE the cases. I'd take it out shooting but waiting on rings and a new scope to dress it up in. Ain't worth a darn w/o sights of some kind.

I sure with them brick slinger you wouldn't need to aim..
just fire in the general direction.. if the projectile did not kill em, the sound and shock wave will..

BAABOOOOOMMMMMM !!!!!
there goes, got a few by heart attack!! Cool
