shrpshtrjoe; if you didn't order it, be sure to add the adjustable metering disk to your measure. It is great for fine-tuning charges.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
I like hunting, shooting, guns, and stuff.
The outdoors is my playground, and I really love to fish, hike, motorbike, fly my tiny plane, ride my horse, and lots of other stuff.
Met a guy here, on another forum, he told me to stop by here.
I like reading up on your threads here, but afraid I have not much to offer for advice.
I just shoot, and never concerned myself with all the technical parts of it much.

I reload my own, but agin, I do not worry much about stuff like tumbling, I load, and then I shoot, then load again.

Anyways, if you find yourself up in the Thompson region of BC Canada, let me know.

That's what I wanted to know. I [assume] it's a guy, but I've been wrong before...

I think you have made a pretty reasonable choice Joe. There will always be the blue vs red arguments, but I believe they are both a quality product with good warranty, support and backup.

The only problems I had in loading many thousands of .357 MAG rounds, was the occasional flipped primer, and that was most likely my fault. Biggest problem I experienced with primers was letting the primer reservoir run low. Make sure you keep the primers above the feed tube...maybe two or three primers deep in the round holder and you won't have any problems as they rely on the weight of the primers to push them down the tube fully.

Another thing that I did was put some dry lube on the twisted hex rod that indexes the shell holder...not a biggie, but I felt that it made things a little smoother...same same on the actual ram.

Never loaded .223 on my LEE 1000, but if they are as easy to load as the .357's, then you will find it a breeze.

Cheers, Vince

+1 what SSL said on the powder mic and what Vince said.
Unique meters OK for plink loads, W-231 meters better.

Do you ever head west to BC to hunt?

We have some great Moose, Elk, deer, and on a limited draw way north Bison hunt to.

Sadly we cannot shoot for 30 miles like you flat landers from the praries can.

Just kidding, I liked my time there, its cool to see that far.
Here too many mountains and such, my friend that moved here from Sask said it took him years to get over the claustrophobic feeling he had.

I have always wanted to hunt in B.C. but no I never have had the chance or the time to get it set up. I think an Elk hunt in the mountains would be fun. Here we hunt Elk in the forest but it's almost flat.
