A Russian guy walks into a shop & asks an assistant for some deodorant.
The assistant says; "Aerosol or ball?"
"No, armpit".

I'm also ex-Navy Bushy, we'd sit around all day discussing such things in great detail. Never saw anyone blush. How come I know? Just go up to a guy and say are these your balls? Or maybe just say anything with plural balls in the sentence and you get a reaction of surprise and shock. The first duty station I was sent to, our office was decked out with wall to wall floor to ceiling Hustler magazine fold-outs. I saw anatomy never before seen by women. If Navy guys were subjected to the Navy women posting photos of naked guys all over the place.....oooOOOOooo that'd be a scene, but the guys could get away with it. Maybe the guys were gay and tryin to hide it? Did you know of any openly gay guys in the military? Not me. Saw some I thought might be gay but never any openly gay guys.

Three for sure. Both were placed under protective custody until we could get to port. Then they left the ship first with a guard.
One, a Gunner's mate (best shot with a 3"-50 in Pearl). And aboard the last ship (a mine sweep) that I was on. Caught in the sonar well with another queer...Also GONE in a matter of hours...

That musta grossed you out some! I knew some gay women, but that was almost expected, the only real womanly women were office types and my guess is that they were chosen for their femininity not their skills. You don't exactly apply for a job but you could request to be somewhere you wanted to be. Me? I hung out with the guys in a flight crew fitting room (Naval air base) and we only had one other girl in a small shop with about 5 or 6 people. The guys were protective of us, and we got chosen to do certain tasks, sometimes it was because they wanted to know if we would do those tasks or not. Like one time I had to fit out a guy for helo gear and he had the largest ears I've ever seen on a human. He was a young LTJG and his last name was Hollowpeter. Nicest guy you ever met and handsome too, but the guys in the shop thought I'd be laughing my head off about his name and then his ears getting in the way of the helo helmet. He knew the game too and asked me if they put me up to it. He laughed about his name and laughed about his big ears and everything was just fine. He was a very nice person really but the shop guys thought they were pulling one on me. They loved to try and trick us into stuff and sometimes we acted dumb and played along for the hell of it. We had fun but I was more tomboy than she was and we didn't hang out much. I remember she was from Florida too and had a weird accent, don't know what that was about. It wasn't a southern accent or anything I recognized, looked like a typical white girl to me. The gay women I knew weren't into being caught or even exposed so they just got together off base and you never saw anything blatant from them even off the base. It does gross you out though and so you tend to keep your distance. I used to go surfing on base and sometimes they would be at the beach and you just feel uncomfortable, like they were lookin you over. Sorry if anyone on here is gay and finding this offensive but that's just the way I feel about it. I was brought up in a culture that embraces people as people nothing else, we always call ourselves human beings actually, but some people are not human beings and I won't explain that, other than it's a cultural thing.
Zippin my mouth shut

I was in charge of an oil spill clean up team of 4 men and 2 women for Submarine Base Bangor, Washington.
The girls were treated like the men and had the same tasks to preform. Which included handling (deploy and recover) of containment boom and boat operations. No coddling and no excuses...
By The Way...They did well.
