plans and frame kit for a very lite yet strong flat bottom canoe, or pirouge.
I have always been a canoe guy. When in South Dakota we used a 16 footer for ducks and geese. Moving to Alaska I found it prohibitive to have it shipped. So I built a Pirouge.
It fits into my 18 foot Lund, weights 45 pounds and will carry me all my gear. The added plus, is it let me hunt some very skinny water other boats can't get to. It cost me about $250.00 resin being the single most expensive component. I chose to use 3/8 plywood for the bottom and 1/4 inch for the sides.
It's and easy project that can be accomplished by most anyone that can use power tools. Mine is not pretty but it keeps the wet stuff on the outside. I find it not as tippy as my old town.
