I think you are right,Joe. I bought at $30.00/k about 3 weeks ago and felt very lucky to get them!!!! I see gunbroker is not getting the prices they were. Greed and fear are being brought under control!!!

More and more goodie's are on the shelves but can't sat the prices are coming down. Hopefully they will soon I'm getting low on powder for the big rifles. Last I seen 8 pounders were 175 bucks.

Prices are fairly decent on powder, but it depends on the dealer!!!

Vint,
Tell me which dealer to get cheap powder from.
It isn't fair to say it depends on the dealer and then not tell us the one you found was cheaper.

It is a long way from Western Washington to northeast Iowa!!! The dealer I buy from is also a shirt tail relation of mine, but I don't think that makes too much difference!!!

Ordered a shell plate/carrier and some dies from LEE yesterday.
Even with the big scary possible B/O and 'unforseen incredible demand' disclaimers......... they shipped today!
I'll say one thing for LEE, aint never waited more than a week for something to ship even during these difficult times as of late. ('cept for the LEE ball cap, I bug them for that every week since it was discontinued... )
Woot!
(wish they made primers! )

Ok, I have a BIG powder order coming up in the near future. I will need to buy 24 - 32 pounds of powder and some large pistol primers. Is there a place on the net that I can make the purchase less costly than others? Do I just do the normal two day search to all the major distributors?
BTW, I use only Hodgdon powders and prefer CCI primers.

Yikes- that's a buncha powder.
Hope ya have better luck than I did with them CCI's, Paul.
I waited 90 days for an order I had all but forgotten about...then canceled it and went with Magtech. Got 'em in 4 weeks. Still no primers seem to be making it out here to my local shops.

CCI primers have been one of the most accurate for me over the years. I had no luck at all with Remington primers and Winchester were about the same as the CCI so I decided to keep the CCIs. I shoot sub-MOA groups with all my long guns and acceptable 2 - 3" groups with the revolvers. The primers do make a difference but I load for accuracy in all my guns and work the loads up with the primers I am going to use.
