I hear ya, late dove, quail etc are opening very soon here... can't wait to pop some and EAT. And, break in my shiny new, uber-orange upland vest.
God that thing is so bright it's hard to look at. Think I'm gonna leave it on the dashboard of my truck for a few days and try and fade it some.

Actually...your sound is more like: " Whack, Whack, Whack" for a Mallard.
I can ABSOLUTELY drive the ducks and geese and sometimes turkey crazy at the county fairs! This last one(county fair) here I had ducks trying to get out of the enclosure to get at me. The geese as well. The turkeys were kind of laid back but I could get a cluck and gobble every now and then.
It is kind of fun to watch how the animals react to you when you make thier sounds.
