I know how you feel stovepipe. I lived there for 26 years. When I got layed off from aircraft I moved to Arizona and haven't looked back. There is some of the best fishing and hunting I have seen here. I do have to admit I miss pig hunting along the ocean up by Santa Barbara.
As for the ammo, I don't see much here in the sporting good stores or retail stores. Maybe if everyone learned how to reload, shooting and hunting might mean a little more to them.

would that place dropping off into the ocean really be bad ?? |
Yes it would be really bad. 1) I'd have no place to go back to in a few months, 2) not all of it is bad 3) where would most of the food come from and 4) you wouldn't have any damn thing to bitch about 5) they would spread into other states and take them over

Good point I'd hate to see them spread, at least now they are contained.

Govenor Arnold said it all "I'm the govenor of this state and can do what I want" Just ask the 70 thousand homeless/workless residents of LA County

lilbud- some of them feral's are still around on public lands in Los Padres but ya gotta work to gettum...word is checking with a local biologist first to learn their digs saves a ton of time. Mostly though ya most pay to get a quick trophy on private land. Some of them hunts are pricey too, a grand plus trophy fee, for a lousy pig!
Gotta admit it is tempting to grab Boomer and a local and go stalking for some bacon. No way I'd make it back to the truck draggin' something that size by myself. Then there's the whole Condor Corridor thing that bans any lead from centerfires....geez, this place.
I'd rather drive down to Cary's and bag a few Peccer's from the porch between bites of some tasty Texas BBQ.

Oh goody goody...... I think the season is even open on tree huggers!!
The BFR is really been grumpy lately, not enough shooting lately I think.
Try to send them soon because duck season opens Saturday.

A grumpy BFR is not a good thing.
I'm sending a bus load of tree huggers to your pad as we speak. Complete with ratty greasy hair, stinky sandles and tie-dyed t-shirts.
Better shiny up the 45/70 roller....oh, wait, it already is.
Save a few of them quackers for the other shooters this season, would ya Mr. Duck Hogger?

I guess I always figured they'd fall into the ocean with the rest of Kalifornia....
Maybe we should start buildin' a fence to keep the FTH's and Ultra-Libs in....
and figger out where to set the explosives to get the earthquake started.
