I've always wanted to hunt Alaska or Canda for 'bou, black bear, moose, etc.
Africa, I agree, Plains game would be "it" for me!!
New Zealand Red Stag with my wife, NOW that would be awesome!!
Like the chips, I just can't pick ONE.......

The "Big Five" in Africa, that was every hunters dream when I was younger. Heaven only knows I've read about it often enough. However, I'd gladly settle at this point for the Alaskan coast and a brown bear. Best wishes to my fellow dreamers.

Moose. I was simply amazed how fast they moved though the woods. They are not old big they are fast too. I watched two knuckle heads go in to the woods after them to get pictures. A few minutes latter they come running out with the look of death on their faces. Lucky for them they made it to the oposite side of their car when the moose came out of the woods. This was in Algonquin Provincial Park Ontario.
The two men from some far away place told me in broken english the animals in Germany were much better behaved. I asked if they were as big they said no. Go Figure!
Anyway a moose hunt is what I'd like to do. Something where you camp fish and hunt. Maybe a ten or twelve day hunt.

I'll be 63 in December. And I don't dream...I do keep my goals reasonable, though. Let's see...Retire soon and move to Missouri. Pay cash for acreage, a house and a barn. Room for a shooting range of my own up to 200 yards of more. And good rugged mountain trails to ride...I don't believe that's too much to ask for. Do you??

Ahh, Bushy old mate.....that ain't a dream, thats heaven.
Had friends in Hallsville Missouri and they loved the hell out of the place. A friend from here in Australia moved to Missouri to shoot in the Bianci Cup and did so for about 8 yrs but unfortunately she passed away a couple of years ago. Said she loved the hunting over there, had a couple hundred acres out the back door. Her ashes are to be scattered around the river that has the very old covered bridge over it.
My dream hunt is to hunt Africa. Kudu, zebra or any of the plains animals. Not keen to hunt any of the big cats.....leave em there for future generations to enjoy.....not only that but the buggers can fight back. Don't wish to end up as a pile of lion crap in the bush.
Cheers, Vince

Well guys, I will be 60 in 06 and finally got to where I can afford to go and do some things I have always wanted to do since I was 9 and got my first rifle. Now if the old carcas will just hold together a little longer. In the past 4 years I have gone to Argentina dove hunting, then to central Florida wild boar hunting with a handgun on the ground, then to South Dakota phesent hunting, deer hunting in the Mississippi Delta, back to Argentina this year for Duck and Geese. In April I will go to South Africa for a week of plains game hunting and bird shooting (piegons, doves, ducks and geese). I figure to go from daylight to dark, then collapse on the plane coming back. I just filled out the paperwork today and have to go get the serial# off of the Browning 12 ga Citori.
In 04 I had a eye opeaner. I worked every day, for at least 12 hours a day, without vacations for many years on end. I think 9 years is my longest period. Well, I bent over sideways, to turn the switch off on the fountain and ruptured two disks, they found a spinal tumor as well. That was in December. So we had back surgery. Back surgery when done right is a pain in the lower back. Then in June, woke up with chest pains, MRI said 100, 90 , 80 and 70 percent blockages, so we had heart surgery.
Now, I am determined to do at least one thing I have always wanted to do, every year until I can't go or am gone. My suggestion to you is, do not wait, if you can do it, without hurting the family, try to make your dreams a reality, one day it will be too late. That day is a lot closer than you think.

I would love to draw a moose permit. I try every year, but the odds are pretty long. (over 265,000 applicants chasing 2500 permits here in Maine). I've gotten one moose, but it was with my truck......not as much fun, (and I ruined a good pair of dress pants).
I would also love to go on an Elk hunt someday......and also Caribou

I'm with Dallan and Bushy. Africa has always been my dream. I'd like to take Cape Buff, Leopard, Kudu, Sable, Warthog, & whatever else was legal. Until then, (dream on) I'll re read Capstick, and talk to my favorite gun shop owner, who has been there and done it, and got tossed in the Acacia bush by a Rhino!
